CW Orders Dramas from J.J. Abrams, Mark Harmon and ‘Vampire Diaries’ Producer |
In a bid to broaden its reach, the CW has picked up three hourlong dramas from established industry players including J.J. Abrams, Mark Harmon and Kim and Eric Tannenbaum.
Abrams’ Shelter hails from the Lost creator and One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn and is set at an historic New England summer resort where the new and returning staff attend to the practical, emotional and often comical needs of the guests while navigating friendships, rivalries and romances of their own.

NEW YORK, September 22, 2011 – USA Network presents the world premiere of the original movie JOHN SANDFORD’S CERTAIN PREY, based on the novel by best selling author and Pulitzer Prize winner John Sandford, on Sunday, November 6 at 9/8c. The movie stars multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominated Mark Harmon (“NCIS”) as Minneapolis Deputy Police Chief Lucas Davenport. With the body count rising, Davenport pursues a hit woman and a murderous lawyer. The movie was written and directed by Chris Gerolmo (“Citizen X,” “Mississippi Burning”). Harmon serves as executive producer along with Michael Jaffe and Howard Braunstein of Jaffe-Braunstein Films, LTD (“The Informant,” “The Client List”).
