NCIS star Pauley Perrette has dropped hints about the new additions to the show’s cast.
It was confirmed earlier this month that a new batch of NCIS agents would join the regular team members towards the end of the eighth season.
“As far as the new team coming in, character-wise, I think everybody’s fur stands up a little bit in the beginning,” Perrette explained to TV Guide. “[My character] Abby always wants to protect her team and doesn’t like change, but it’s always an interesting element to throw somebody else in there.”
The actress, who has played forensics specialist Abby Sciuto since 2003, also revealed that upcoming episodes will be linked by a new plot arc.
“As we’re going into the end of season eight, there’s a thread that’s running through the whole thing [and] it’s imperative not to miss a second,” she claimed. “Don’t miss a beat!”
The eighth season of NCIS is currently expected to conclude in May. A ninth run has already been commissioned, after the show achieved a ratings high of 22.85m viewers last month.

‘NCIS’ Star Pauley Perrette Joins Campaign to Hype Science, Tech Industries
The actress stars in videos promoting the Entertainment Industries Council and the National Science Foundation’s efforts to educate young people about careers in science, engineering and technology.
In honor of National Engineers Week, the Entertainment Industries Council and the National Science Foundation have partnered to promote careers in science, engineering and technology as part of EIC’s “First Draft”program.
In addition to offering input from tech and science experts to creative staff and executives in Hollywood, the “First Draft” effort, in collaboration with NSF’s “Science Scene” program, will also provide original publications with scene-depiction suggestions to creators, as well as conducting topic briefings beginning in July, at the start of the television writing season.
The topic briefings will serve as a sort of writer’s boot camp, offering up scientists and engineers in a variety of fields to assist in story development and technical guidance. Topics will cover such areas as forensics, nanotechnology, robotics and genetic and aerospace engineering, among others
“If we don’t steer young people toward how exciting and rewarding careers in these fields can be,” said EIC President and CEO Brian Dyak, “we will lose a generation of great minds and thinkers, causing jobs in these fields to go elsewhere and making our country less competitive in the global economy.”
Pauley Perrette, one of the stars of CBS’s tech-heavy hit show NCIS,appears in a series of viral video clips hyping the campaign. The clips are available on YouTube and on NSF’s Science Scene website.
“It has been such an honor to portray the character of Abby on NCIS for more than 7 years,” Perrette said in a press statement. “This fictional character has become an inspiration to young girls all over the world that careers in math, science, engineering and technology are acceptable, attainable and available to them.”

CBS is also promoting the campaign by placing a longer video vignette on the official NCIS website.
EIC is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 by leaders of the entertainment industry. The National Science Foundation is an independent federal agency that supports fundamental research and education, as well as research facilities and instrumentation across all fields of science and engineering.
‘NCIS’ Star Pauley Perrette Models NOH8 Dress In Campaign Photo
NCIS star Pauley Perrette’s pro-gay rights dress is featured in an official NOH8 Campaign photo.
The photo released Sunday features Perrette modeling the dress – a strapless number that features the NOH8 Campaign’s logo on a white background – with her mouth duct taped and NOH8 written on one cheek.
Perrette debuted the dress earlier this month at the People’s Choice Awards. She said she envisioned the dress and asked her favorite designer, Terri King, to create it.
“I had an idea for this dress and I went to my friend Terri King – brilliant designer – and I was telling her about it and she’s like ‘Let’s do it,’” Perrette told reporters at the awards show. “And she made it. It’s flawless. It’s exactly what I wanted.”
“I’m really, really proud to be wearing it,” she added.
The NOH8 Campaign raises funds and awareness to defeat Proposition 8, California’s gay marriage ban.
NCIS’ Pauley Perrette Talks Kickboxing and Tattoos on The Late Show
Last night, actress Pauley Perrette of NCIS visited David Letterman’s late night show to promote the CBS hit drama. However, the show certainly doesn’t need any help with its ratings (it’s going stronger than ever and recently brought in the most viewers it ever has), and instead the actress talked about her early days in New York, her kickboxing skills, and showed off her body art.New York days
She started off the interview by telling a story about when she used to live in New York City and roller-skated around for transportation. She held onto backs of trucks (and warned others not to do the same thing). She decided to skate seven semi-trucks but at the end of the line was a small pick-up truck and she wound up landing in a pool of oil.
Kickboxing
Perrette put her “guns” on display when telling David Letterman about kickboxing. She made sure to explain that she only hits bags, not people, unless they attack her. She also reassured him that she had “absolutely no intentions of snapping [him] like a twig,” but he did say he felt the strength in her hug from when she first walked out. She asked if she hurt him, and he said he didn’t.
Tattoos
Pauley Perrette also showed off the tattoos on her arms and fingers and explained the numerical significance of a few. For example, she has “10 10 10” tattooed on her arm so it looks like it’s binary code, and somehow mathematically, it means “42,” which is, “the answer to everything” from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. She explained how much she loves math and numbers and has a few tattoos of numbers intertwined (including eights and nines).
