In a not-quite-so-epic celebrity showdown on Twitter, Lindsay Lohan and Pauley Perrette are facing off on the issue of tax cuts. Lohan, the Mean Girls actress, recently tweeted a request to President Barack Obama to cut taxes, even for supposed “millionaires,” while Perrette, the NCIS actress, has graciously requested to have her taxes raised to fund government programs. It is not unusual for actors to chime in on politics thanks to Twitter, but it is unusual to have two actresses state opposite sides of such a charged issue, especially when both are Hollywood liberals. The controversy started on September 6, when President Barack Obama tweeted the statement “I’ve cut taxes for those who need it: middle-class families, small businesses.”
